A world first Cotton 'showcase' concept store at Darling Harbour to promote the Australian cotton growing industry with premium quality cotton products in the lead up to, during and after the 2000 Olympic Games. Designed to provide a crisp backdrop to cotton fibre and the cotton products generally, the store radiates a clean pure environment within an extremely contemporary shell. The entry of the store is surrounded by inspiring visual ideas in cotton which is embraced in two dynamic glass display fins incorporating display of both the store’s merchandise. Streamlined contemporary design and more technology in touchscreens and computer software than in any store in Australia, a high-tech, informative, and entertaining retail experience - which all contributes to the realisation of the cotton industry as a brand.
