The key to Al Ain Mall and Resort was to break down the mass of the retail area into precincts and then within each precinct break down the space into a unique experience. The variety of these experiences will make Al Ain Mall a popular destination for many years to come. The design of the new Al Ain Mall and resort takes reference from the local Al Ain region, it's people and the Arabic culture.
The juxtaposition of the modern shopping centre with a fully enclosed Heritage Village combining contemporary aesthetic and functional shopping centre design with regional aesthetics and local history. The design aims to capture a cultural oasis for local and international visitors alike.

Al Ain Mall and Resort - 'A contemporary Shopping Centre design with a unique Arabic flavour'
The Al Ain Mall and Water Park Project is a mixed use development which extends the existing 45000 sqm GLA centre by introducing a new high-end retail wing adjacent to the existing shopping centre and connecting the retail shopping mall to a new 230 keys hotel. Design services tendered to the project by Saunders Global include the coordinated master plan layout, Interior architecture, interior design and tenancy mix analysis for the existing and new Al Ain Mall retail levels, hotel levels and water park. The design ensures a clear and easily identifiable distinction between old and new on the one hand and mid-market and high-end on the other.
